Visit the Deepest Natural Pool in Valencia - el Pozo Negro
Operated by Valencia Mountain Enthusiasts
Overview
We will visit Pozo Negro of Fuentes de Ayódar - a beautiful natural pool in the Sierra de Espadán. It is also known as the Black Well, or the "bottomless pool" due to its depth of about three meters, a bathing area next to the Fuente del Zuro area, being created naturally by the wear of the impact of water over time, with very cold, transparent and clean water. This natural pool is located in the mountains of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, nestled in the middle of nature halfway between Fuentes de Ayódar and Torralba del Pinar, just 2 kilometers from the first mentioned town, where to reach it you must you can admire a landscape full of pines, cork oaks, holm oaks and great vegetation that coexists in harmony with reddish mountains, a characteristic shade of rodeno, a red sandstone.
