Guided tour of the Spanish Steps and the Maria Luisa Park
Operated by GuiArte
Overview
Our guided tour begins in the majestic Plaza de España, one of the most impressive architectural gems of Seville. We will discover this work designed by the architect Aníbal González for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. We will walk through its galleries, admiring the ceramic benches that represent each province of Spain and discovering the details of its imposing neo-Mudéjar structure. From there, we will enter the charming Maria Luisa Park, the green lung of the city. Donated to Seville by Infanta María Luisa de Borbón in 1893, this park is an oasis of tranquility with romantically inspired gardens, ornate fountains and hidden viewpoints. As we walk along its shady paths, we will learn about the history of the park, its landscape influences and its role in the Ibero-American Exposition.
