Overview
It is a journey from the medieval to the contemporary during which history, architecture, nature, wine and art come together to offer a complete sensory experience. You will discover the historic Señorío de Otazu with its 12th century Romanesque church, its 14th century dovecote tower and its 16th century palace, before continuing in the old 19th century winery building where you will be able to appreciate the museum of the Señorío de Otazu and the contemporary art spaces of the Otazu Foundation, without forgetting the impressive underground barrel room known as “the Wine Cathedral”, the production room and the wine cemetery where the bottles rest. Bodega Otazu has been awarded as ‘Best Winery Open to Tourism’ by the V Wine Tourism Awards ‘Ruta del Vino de España’ (2020), awarded by the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN).
